ReDiscover is looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to add to our Women & Children Department!

WHAT WE DO
The Women & Children program is a voluntary, collaborative program that strives to empower women to build resources and personal skills to break the barriers that come with addiction as individuals, family members, and members of their local community. This program offers residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, day care services for children under 12, individual and group therapy, case management, peer support services, psychiatry and medicated assisted treatment.
At ReDiscover, while every day is different, a typical day may include the following roles and responsibilities:
- Maintaining and interacting with a caseload of clients with diverse characteristics either in-person or via telehealth.
- Conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing, and prescribing appropriate psychotropic medication.
- Managing the medical care and treatment for the program specific population seeking services at ReDiscover.
- Attending and participating in regularly scheduled treatment team meetings and working with members of a diverse, interdisciplinary team.
- Providing timely and appropriate documentation for billable services.
- Facilitating each client’s achievement of long range outcomes of symptom management, and functionality based upon the needs of the client.
- Collecting and maintaining information about clients and documenting interactions within ReDiscover’s designated electronic medical record.
- Communicating and collaborating with an internal multi-disciplinary team to address various aspects of wellness and ensure positive communication regarding the coordination of client care.
We are focused on your development and will spend time helping you continue to grow as a PMHNP. However, here are some things that you will need prior to starting with ReDiscover:
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Licensed as an APRN in the State of Missouri.
- Preference given to board certified individuals, including those with active BNDD, DEA, and NPI.
- Two (2) years of experience in direct service provision in a behavioral health setting required.
- Willingness to enter into a collaborative practice agreement with a ReDiscover licensed Psychiatrist.
- Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders
- Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as GSuite
