What This Job is About:
This position manages the Production Department at RedPeg leading the client program production deliverables across all the agency verticals. Working closely with internal client service, venues, strategy, creative, finance, and talent teams, the Director of Production oversees and manages the client and agency assets utilized in our dynamic and creative experiential marketing campaigns (vehicles, structures, tents, electronic equipment, banners, etc.)
The ideal candidate has a passion for the experiential marketing and event industry and is a strategic leader at the agency collaborating with other department heads and the executive team to meet the wider agency needs. You also follow trends and are a thought leader in terms of identifying developments in the wider marketing landscape especially as it relates to experiential marketing, production and technology.
You have an encyclopedic knowledge of experiential design as well as asset and vehicle fabrication. Prior experience on a national basis with event marketing, product launches & stunts, mobile based tours and influencer/guerrilla programs is necessary. Knowledge of experiential digital UX design is also a must. The candidate must be willing to work 10 -15% off-site at events throughout the course of their employment.
This position will provide supervision and/or guidance to the department and reports to the Senior Vice President, Account Services. RedPeg Marketing is a highly collaborative environment and requires candidates who can appropriately manage up, down, and across the organization. What You’re All About:
The ideal candidate will at least meet these criteria:
- Minimum 7-12 years of prior marketing agency experience
- Provides leadership against the agency defined business goals
- Prospecting new clients and pitching in support of the business development team
- Knowledge of event production including a high-level understanding of audio-visual equipment, electrical and photo marketing/lead generation systems
- Experience implementing inventory and inventory management systems
- A high knowledge of DOT/FMCSA compliance including CMV classification, HOS reporting, IRP/IFTA reporting and CSA review
- Above average knowledge of OSHA compliance, program safety risk assessments and ongoing risk mitigation management strategies
- Ability to lead event design ideation and development on a programmatic and agency basis
- Experience to institute standard operating procedures/ processes as it relates to your key responsibilities and department needs
- Thinks innovatively, blending big ideas with realistic execution limitations to drive focused key performance indicators
- Experience with forecasting and managing program and agency budgets
- Fosters and builds partnerships with vendors driving cross program efficiencies and cost savings
- Very strong written and oral communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Positively contributes to client, department, and overall agency team goals
- Support continuing industry education and training for department employees
- Able to provide recommendations to internal and external stakeholders supported by qualitative, quantitative, and strategic rationale
