Job Summary

The Human Resources System Specialist will support and maintain the organization’s HRIS applications and modules and act as a project manager with onboarding of new employees and with other projects as needed.

Key Duties

  • Oversees and maintains optimal function of all of the Human Resources related systems including UKG, WFM, CultureAmp, Paycor Recruiting, Cornerstone, Payfactors, etc. Maintenance to include installation, customization, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules.
  • Provide project managment oversight for any HR system implementation, installation, customization, transition, or upgrade.
  • Provide budgeting assistance by tracking HR systems fees including licenseing, support, upgrades and implementation costs as well as, providing system cost optimization options.
  • Handle all reporting requests that are made to the HR department including
    • Providing data for audits (i.e. 401(k), SOC2, HITRUST, Worker’s Compensation, financial, etc.)
    • Finance and IT requests
    • EEO-1 and state specific pay data requests
    • Benefit plan Non Discrimination Testing
    • Data needed to calculate bonus programs
    • Annual pay increase data
    • HR Monthly Reporting Data
    • Organizational HR KPI and demographic reports
    • Verifications of employment
  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to all Human Resource system users.
  • Collaborates with HR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.
  • Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HR system users.
  • Programs custom functions and business intelligence reporting such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
  • Compiles or assists with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff.
  • Serves as lead representative and liaison between HR, information services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HR system design and implementation projects, including benefits administration.
  • Responsibible for maintaining, troubleshooting and coordinating EDI / data file feeds between RedSail and human resource vendors.
  • Will assist with M&A activities with aquisitions / carveout populations by providing data and cost analisys to RedSail leadership.
  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Skills, Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technologiy, statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience working wtih highly confidential information.
  • Ability to keep information confidential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product.
  • Experience with data analitics and at least one commercial Business Integlligence application. Preferablly IBM Cognos.
  • Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Very proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • At least five years of related experience preferred.

  • Moderate levels of stress may be experienced in the performance of the job
  • Sitting and standing for most of the workday
  • Using hands/fingers to operate a computer and keyboard
Equipment
  • Heavy use of the Microsoft Teams (phone), computer, printer, and other routine office equipment
Safety to Self and Others
  • Little responsibility for the safety of others. Job is performed in an office setting where there are no hazardous materials or equipment.
  • Employee serves on the Evacuation Teams.

Working Conditions/Hazards

  • Position is performed in an open office environment.
