Redwood Credit Union is looking for a Business Deposit Specialist who will provide support and technical expertise for various types of Business Deposit accounts, performing semi-routine accounting and administrative duties that vary in levels of complexity. Provide knowledge and guidance to team members with questions, problems, and/or procedures related to opening and maintaining business accounts.

Essential Functions

Business Deposit Program

• As a subject matter expert (SME), responsible for ensuring compliance of account-specific documentation related to LLC, LLP, sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation and S corporation business accounts and non-profit organizations. Identify best practices to improve processes, and update /inform team members of any regulatory or procedural changes.

• Responsible for accurate and timely review of business deposit accounts and business deposit documentation submitted by Members or team members.

• Responsible for quality control of the Business Deposit program.

• Responsible for following up with Members and/or team members to address business deposit accounts or business deposit documentation.

• Ensure proper handling of business account ownership documentation upon death of business owner(s).

• Act as a resource to Branch team members on required documentation needed to open a complex business account.

• Manage business deposit documents for long-term retention.

Business Deposit Account Administration

• Administer all aspects of the Business Deposit account program according to established procedures.

• As directed by management, implement and update team members on law changes affecting business deposit accounts.

• Provide input to update procedure manuals as needed and communicate changes to impacted team members.

• Review and evaluate business deposit account documentation to ensure compliance standards are met.

• Provide monthly reporting to the Deposit Products Manager.

• Comprehensive knowledge of all account types and ownership types used in financial institutions and terminology used in financial institutions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of laws, regulations, principles, and processes related to business deposit account documentation and document processing in financial institutions.
• Knowledge of business account types, such as LLC, LLP, sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation and S corporations and required documentation of each.
• Knowledge of required documentation for non-profit organizations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of business depositor guidelines and compliance requirements.
• Ability to resolve complex Member disputes and use judgment in analyzing situations to recommend workable solutions with timely and appropriate action.
• Skill in the operation of a PC with the use of word processing, spreadsheet, digital signing software, and browser-based software.
• Ability to learn core processing system (Symitar) and business account opening software (Meridian Link).
• Ability to provide exceptional service to all external and internal Members and clients.

The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate degree with a minimum of three years related financial institution experience. Prior business deposit account experience is required.

Compensation: Base starting range: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour commensurate with experience.

Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.
