Redwood Housing, an impact developer that is focused on raising the standard of living for low- and moderate- income Americans primarily by developing and preserving affordable senior and multi-family properties throughout the country, is seeking an experienced Project Manager that will be responsible for core development activities in Washington, D.C . The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of real estate development functions, including due diligence, modeling, financing, scheduling, logistics, cost management and construction. This individual must be able to function effectively in a variety of roles in a dynamic environment with little supervision and be passionate about joining a rapidly growing, mission-driven real estate investment and development company.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of project development, including due diligence, modeling, financing, scheduling, logistics, cost management and construction
  • Direct internal due diligence for new development opportunities; responsible for document control procedures for project related documents
  • Manage fully integrated project models, inclusive of detailed sources & uses and cash flow analysis
  • Prepare scopes, budgets, schedules, deal memorandum, financial forecasts and strategic plans
  • Lead all aspects of third-party due diligence; oversee deliverables and keep projects on track
  • Research and recommend optimal financing sources; compile detailed financing applications for various funding programs including tax exempt bonds and low-income housing tax credits
  • Manage consultant team, including architects, engineers and designers
  • Collaborate with asset management and property management on various activities, including community outreach
  • Assist with obtaining building permits, oversee draws, ensure sources & uses remain in balance and coordinate with construction teams
  • Manage special projects from inception through completion

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree; preferably a concentration in real estate, finance, business or public policy
  • 3-6 years of experience in all aspects of multifamily housing development and finance
  • Excellent judgment, attention to detail, intuitive interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong project management, analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Complex thinker demonstrating vibrant intellectual curiosity
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills – ability to multi-task, prioritize work, manage multiple deadlines and track deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • High energy team player that is a self-starter that can work proactively with limited supervision
  • Effective presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong ethics and integrity
