What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping manager position at Reefhouse Resort & Marina?
We are looking to hire a housekeeping manager to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a flexible schedule and have great attention to detail.
Responsibilities :
To establish a high degree of excellence in the Housekeeping Department to include all assigned areas of the Hotel.
The Housekeeping Manager will operate the Housekeeping Department and all other areas of responsibility.
Work closely with and maintain a high degree of excellence and communication with other departments.
Be specifically responsible for the standards of all Guest rooms, suites, corridors, back-of-the-house storage and linen rooms.
Ensure all Supervisors continually
inspect assigned areas and have turned in inspections.
Ensure all reports are prepared completely and on time.
Ensure effective and complete training is in use and all associates are well trained.
Ensure proper key controls are in effect.
Take accurate linen inventories per SOP.
Take an accurate Guest supply inventory every period.
Ensure all reports are prepared completely and on time.
Review operating statements and critique unusual surpluses and shortages.
Ensure that proper key controls are in effect.
Immediate response to all guest problems and guest correspondence pertaining to the Housekeeping Department.
Ensure that lost and found articles are stored properly and correct logs are maintained.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Must possess strong computer skills and excellent verbal / written communication skills.
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays.
The position requires strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to effectively deal with department heads, guests, and team members.
One year of hotel experience is preferred but not necessary.
