Job Description:

As an Electrical Design Engineer at Refik Electrical Engineers, you will play a key role in the design and implementation of electrical systems for various projects in renewable, education, commercial, multi-family development and residential spaces. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD, possess expertise in California's Title 24 regulations, and have a solid background in building design.

Responsibilities:

Electrical System Design:

• Utilize AutoCAD to create precise and detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and layouts.
• Develop electrical designs that adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Compliance with Title 24:

• Ensure strict adherence to California's Title 24 energy efficiency regulations for nonresidential buildings.
• Stay updated on changes to Title 24 and integrate them effectively into design practices.

Building Design Integration:

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs seamlessly into overall building designs.
• Work closely with architects and other engineers to achieve coordinated and efficient design solutions.

Technical Expertise:

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
• Provide technical support and expertise to project teams and clients.

Documentation:

Prepare comprehensive documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, with expertise in AutoCAD.
• In-depth knowledge of California's Title 24 regulations.
• Strong understanding of building design principles and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
