Position Description
The Materials Planner, Ingredients is responsible for end-to-end ingredient planning from PO creation to plant delivery. This includes domestic and import ingredients
Essential Functions
- Key Accountabilities:
- End-to end ingredient management from PO creation to plant delivery.
- Collaboration with Procurement, Transportation, as well as other Supply Chain functions
- Raw material transfer freight, demurrage and detention
- Aging inventory control, including DOS
- Integration with production planning & demand planning relative to forecast and production.
- Ensure raw materials arrive at time needed in our plants.
- Deliver results for all key metrics: Fill rate, aged inventory, DOS, safety stock
- Develop collaborative working relationships with supply chain functions, operations, procurement, shippers and suppliers
- Best practice development of key business process
- Supports special projects and other assigned duties as required

Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain preferred plus three (3) years of supply chain experience.
- SAP experience, and Import experience is preferred.

- Demonstrated technical proficiency for supply chain tools such as SAP APO, GIB or similar systems; APICS Certification a plus
- Ability to work, collaborate and effectively communicate with key business partners
Physical Demands:
- Physical - Continuously standing or walking.
- Visual/Sensory - This position requires regular need to give moderate attention with one or two senses at a time.
- Work Environment - Work and environment are very repetitive.
