JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Finance to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on financial expertise, a strong value alignment with our company's purpose and mission, and significant manufacturing experience (highly preferred). The Director of Finance will play a critical role in overseeing day-to-day financial operations, focusing on manufacturing, inventory management, cost accounting, and pricing strategies. This position requires someone who is detail oriented that can effectively manage financial resources and drive financial performance across the organization.

- Oversee and manage all aspects of finances, including planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Lead monthly financial close and reporting to key stakeholders.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support company objectives and drive profitability.
- Lead team responsible for financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis processes and implementing improvements to improve efficiencies across the Company.
- Manage manufacturing-related financial activities, including inventory valuation, cost accounting, and pricing strategies.
- Direct physical inventory activities and maintain monthly inventory controls.
- Lean operational and accounting mindset that executes process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Provide strategic guidance to executive leadership to drive exceptional performance and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business initiatives and decision-making.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to manage inventory and vendors effectively.
- Lead financial audits and coordinate audit activities with external auditors.
- Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience (5 years) in progressive finance leadership roles.
- Strong hands-on financial management skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory management, and cost accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute financial strategies, aligned with business objectives.
- Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- High proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation.
- Prior experience in a senior finance role within a manufacturing organization.
- Knowledge of pricing strategies and market analysis.
- Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiencies.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
