Scope of leadership role
Position Summary: In charge of the design of the warehouses, understanding the distribution and organization of the different areas and operations. Ensures that the warehouse infrastructure complies with health and safety regulations, following up on preventive maintenance of racks and docks. Develops and implements warehouse space and equipment flow optimization projects.
Responsible for the inventory control of mobile equipment, follows up the TPM of the equipment to ensure its availability and optimal conditions, knows the technical specifications of the mobile equipment for the design of the warehouses and for the purchase or rental of equipment. Develops and implements projects to optimize the use of equipment, calculates the necessary equipment and distributes it to the appropriate areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Design of the distribution of warehouse racks.
- Logistics infrastructure inventory control.
- Alignment to NOM-006-STPS-2014 to ensure warehouse safety.
- Coordinates and implement space optimization projects.
- Responsible for Generate, Coordinates and Implement cost reduction projects (Process, labor, material, OVC).
- Coordinate the use and control of mobile equipment to optimize its useful life.
- Define standard procedures for the use of warehouse equipment.
- Analyze interaction of mobile equipment and pedestrians in operational areas, implement safety attachments on equipment.
- Calculation of required mobile equipment.
- Purchase and rental of mobile equipment ensuring technical specifications.
- Document a risk assessment for equipment activities and logistics areas.
Professional Experience/Qualifications
- Use of AutoCAD or CAD software for layout designs.
- Warehouse and logistics processes knowledge.
- Lean manufacturing tools knowledge.
- Application of safety and hygiene standards.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience. 3 years. Proactive, Self-motivated, Results Oriented.
