Dishwasher
As a Dishwasher, you are responsible for operating and maintaining the cleanliness of the dishwashing equipment and area. Cleans all dishes, utensils, and food preparation equipment in accordance with health and company standards. Assists the cooking and servicing staff with the cleaning of the general kitchen, food preparation, and service areas. Dietary Aide: Delivers food from the area of preparation to the residents at their tables and/or apartments. The position will be responsible for ascertaining that the residents are satisfied with the menu items, providing beverages and re-fills as needed as well as providing condiments and other items the resident may request. The position is responsible for bussing tables, changing table linens, and resetting tables following meal service as well as pouring beverages and setting up tables prior to each meal service.
As A Dishwasher, you will:
- Operates the dish machine to wash dishes, glasses, cups, trays, silverware, and foodservice equipment.
- Ensures all cleaned items meet the service standards required for the dining services program.
- Sets up and cleans dish machine area; checks temperatures and soap dispensing levels.
- Pour beverages per resident choice as the residents are seated in the dining room for each meal.
- Serve meals in courses, removing soiled dishes from one course before providing the next.
- Meets all mandatory health requirements by State regulations.
- Food Handler’s card where required.
- Adheres to and conveys the philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
