About this Opportunity:
Regency Centers is seeking a Leasing Representative to join our San Diego, California regional office. This individual will be responsible for implementing Regency standard leasing procedures and identifying and closing small shop leasing deals for company-owned properties under the direction of our Senior Leasing Agent in the San Diego office.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn the shopping center portfolio, trade areas and the competitive set of shopping centers.
Renew existing tenants’ leases to achieve maximum revenue while improving or maintaining tenant retention and satisfaction.
Work on budgeting/forecasting, abstract leases, and marketing strategies with Marketing Department to better merchandise the assigned portfolio.
Identify qualified prospects to lease and occupy available space in new and existing shopping centers/developments.
Lease and assist with leasing new vacant space.
Generate production/activity reports.
Receive feedback and on-the-job training and education
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate or related field from an accredited university
At least one (1) year of relevant experience in commercial real estate leasing
Knowledge of lease and/or sales contract terminology
Understanding of P&L statements, credit reports, and balance sheet information
Intermediate level proficiency with current Microsoft Office software, to include Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Quantitative and analytical skills
Ability to travel regionally in Southern California
Preferred:
Real Estate Salesperson License in California strongly preferred
Prior experience in retail leasing (e.g. for shopping centers) with triple net lease structures
Established business contacts and/or knowledge of the local market
