Our growing Dermatology and Plastic Surgery practice is seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our growing team. Our full-time busy office, located in Phoenix, AZ, has an immediate opening for an experienced medical office manager. Must be able to thrive in fast paced work environments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise medical staff and front office staff for our high-volume location.
- Work collaboratively with the physicians and administrator.
- Assist with interviewing potential candidates for hire and train new employees
- Manage daily operations of the office location while maintaining a professional workplace.
- Oversee office supply, medical supply and high dollar drug inventory and ordering
- Oversee all monies collected on a day-to day basis and incoming payments
- Maintain total confidentiality of personal and financial data.
- Work closely with other managers and administrators to improve Practice wide efficiencies and effectively evaluate and implement healthcare policies.
- Performs other business duties as necessary to manage and run the office in a smooth manner.
- Approve time off requests for employees
- Assess performance and employee training needs
- The knowledge and ability to perform all job duties of every employee at your location.
- Identify barriers to the plan of care and intervene as appropriate to provide optimal patient care
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Medical Experience preferred
- Medical manager/supervisor experience required
- Manager/supervisor experience in a surgical/Dermatology office preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Must demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.
- Requires organizational skills and clinical knowledge regarding specialty care services, as well as coordination of services.
- Must possess good time management skills.
- Travel to any of our practice locations may be necessary upon request.
- Familiarity with standard computer programs and EMR systems
