Senior Scientist LCMS Bioanalytical

We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative individual to join our Analytical Chemistry group. You will be working in a state-of-the-art mass spectrometry lab and developing Bioanalytical assays to support R&D pipelines. This will be a lab-based role with focus on LC-MS based bioanalysis function. The candidate will report to a principal scientist and will work in a cross-functional team environment. This role will also have the opportunity to develop innovative mass spectrometry technologies applied to Bioanalysis.

A Day in the Life of a Sr Scientist may look like:

Performing LC-MS based assay development, assay qualification or validation for biomarkers & biotherapeutics in biological matrices to support Regeneron pipelines.

Responsible for bioanalysis and bioanalytical support of pre-clinical, clinical and biodistribution studies by quantifying various therapeutics or biomarkers in biological study samples.

Use state-of-art LC-MS (QQQ, Q-TOF, Orbitrap and hybrid MS) coupled with various sample preparation platforms to conduct investigational experiments for biotherapeutics, including but not limited to peptides, oligonucleotides, antibody proteins, antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) and other novel modalities.

Document experiments, analyze and interpret results to present within group and at cross-functional team meetings. Ensure data quality and maintain scientific integrity of bioanalytical results for decision-making.

In order to be considered qualified for the role, you must have:

A Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or related disciplines with 0-5 years of postdoctoral experience; or a MS degree with 5 years of experience or a BS degree with 7 years of relevant experience
We expect that 5 years of this experience will be with mass spectrometry or LC-MS experience with biologics (large molecules). A deep understanding of mass spectrometry techniques and their applications to large molecule analysis, as well as other analytical techniques is required. Strong capabilities in experimental design, execution, data interpretation and troubleshooting and previous hands-on experience with chromatographic separation, sample processing, quantitative/qualitative assays is required as well.

Preferred, but not required:
Working experience in the CRO/biotech/biopharmaceutical industry is a plus
Laboratory experience with GxP environment, documentation and regulatory compliance is a plus
Experience with LC-MS based bioanalytical assays for protein/peptide analysis in body fluids or tissues
Deep understanding of analytical methods qualification/validation
Extensive hands-on experience with LC-MS and advanced mass spectrometry instruments like Q-TOF, Orbitrap, Q-Exactive, Triple Quadrupole, etc...
Good multi-tasking, time management and project handling skills are desired #WRIB
