What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Director, Strategic Planning & Project Management position at Regeneron?
The Associate Director of Strategic Planning & Project Management works closely with the VP of Global Patient Safety(GPS) and the GPS Leadership Team to drive strategic planning and project management for the department. This scope includes department objective and goal setting. Collation, review and project management of GPS Regulatory and internal strategic and operational results. Resource management, cross-functional alignment and issue identification, mitigation and resolution. You may also be tasked with representing the VP at key cross functional meetings. Assist the VP and their Leadership Team in collaboration with RA Business Operations establishing a high-performing, strategic, effective and quality-focused organization. The organization will be well-aligned with other functions within RA & GPS encouraging a climate of operational perfection, innovation and continuous improvement.
Job responsibilities:
Drive the preparation and follow-up of GPS leadership team meetings. Lead preparation and conduct of departmental meetings to implement the GPS communication and engagement plans. Define and track functional strategic objectives and functional departmental goals.
Build and maintain cross-functional interfaces between GPS and other key functions and partners (e.g. Regulatory, Quality, IOPS, GCO, Clinical Sciences, Program Management, procurement, Legal, Commercial etc). Deliver and coordinate the functional communication strategy plan and implementation including preparation of all staff communications and meetings.
Can serve as the primary GPS point of contact for corporate infrastructure/space planning, business continuity planning, cross-functional change initiatives and standing committees needing GPS representation.
Working with RA business Support to enable GPS resource management by facilitating mid-range planning for head count needs, permanent and contract staff, which includes tracking the approval status for permanent head count. Monitor and plan resource requirements and efficiency of administrative support.
Support GPS line managers to prepare for performance/talent management discussions and support functional leaders in their succession planning as needed. Lead and/or assists with GPS vendor management working with functional line leaders to develop, collect, visualize and communicate critical metrics.
Draft presentations for Head of GPS, covering key departmental topics (i.e. Organizational and/or structural changes within GCO, functional goal updates etc.) Identify and deliver opportunities to raise GPO’s profile within REGN

Experience and Required Skills
- 10+ years of industry experience with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, science-based degree preferred.
- A proven ability to drive alignment on goals across teams, holding people accountable in a constructive manner and working with senior leaders of the company.
- Skilled in a variety of communication modes: One-on-One, small and large groups, including an ability to listen to others.
- Proficient in the concepts of organizational Mission/Purpose of the team with a track record of building an organization around such concepts.
- An ability to build positive relationships throughout the organization both formal and informal to help achieve results. Comfortable with taking and defending an independent point of view, working through and building off conflict.
- Skilled in all aspects of Microsoft Office
