R&D Associate, Muscle & Metabolism

Summary:
The individual should have experiences in mouse pharmacology experiments, immunoassay development, and cell biology. The successful candidate will be involved in basic research studies designed to identify novel targets as well as pharmacology studies in the fields of metabolic diseases. Needs to be highly organized, flexible and motivated.

Job Duties:
Establish new in vivo assays
Perform mouse assays/surgeries (tolerance tests, minipump implant, liver perfusion)
Dose compounds by IV, IM, IP, and SC routes and draw blood (orbital, tail, submandibular) in mice
Perform ex vivo analysis (ELISA, western blotting, immunohistochemistry)
Primary cell and cell line experiments, including transfection and transduction
Write protocols and study reports
Requirements:
Mouse pharmacology experiments
Immunoassays
Cell biology
Molecular biology
Mouse surgeries

Minimum of 3 years experience working in a lab
