Description
Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seek a full-time Radiation Oncologist and Health System Clinician to serve as Medical Director of Radiation Oncology. The Medical Director of Radiation Oncology will work collaboratively with other disciplines to advance our clinical and academic missions in the Cancer Program. This position reports directly to the NM Chair of Radiation Oncology.
Qualified candidates must be board certified and/or eligible by the American Board of Radiology and be able to qualify for a faculty appointment at the level of Health System Clinician at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. Northwestern Medicine Radiation Oncology has a number of locations in the Chicagoland area integrated into the Department of Radiation Oncology, Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center and Feinberg School of Medicine. Northwestern Medicine is strong financially with a long tradition of excellence and provides world class radiation oncology services and breakthrough research close to where our patients live and work. Anchored by our NM Academic Medical Center, the system has state of the art, precision technology including a Proton Center, Gamma Knife Icon, Brachytherapy and all other significant modalities of radiation oncology. In addition to an excellent clinical practice, the Department of Radiation Oncology has a fully accredited ACGME Medical Residency Program, CAMPEP accredited Physics Residency and JRCert accredited School of Radiation Therapy. The Department also has a robust clinical and laboratory research program funded by the NIH, DOE, DOD, Foundations and Industry Sponsors.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and is very competitive. This position is a full-time continuing appointment. The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
