Top Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interviews patients to explain MRI procedures, obtain pertinent exam history (including symptoms, related studies, medical conditions, medications, allergies and surgeries) and to verify the safety requirements have been met for metal objects and implant which may be hazardous to the patient and/or equipment.
- Performs studies following protocols requested by the Radiologist and/or Referring Physician.
- Gains IV access or performs injections as needed.
- Displays competency with RIS and PACS systems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology from a JRCERT accredited college or technical school. One year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology with advanced certification in MRI. Continuing education in accordance of the ARRT, ACR, and State of Michigan. Certification in CPR and Blood Borne Pathogens.

Concentration on details with frequent interruptions/distractions.
