What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audio Video Specialist position at Regional Organized Crime Information Center (ROCIC)?
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education – Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in an Audio/Video related technical field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience - Three (3) years’ experience in audio/video technical or computer technology field. Must possess proficient computer skills and have a thorough grasp of basic writing skills. Law enforcement experience is preferred. Must work independently from verbal instructions and communicate effectively. Must be a self-starter.
Certification - Must have or obtain Law Enforcement and Emergency Video Association (LEVA) certification within two (2) years of hire.
DUTIES:
Collects and evaluates intelligence information and evidence received by the Center from submitting agencies on audio, video, digital-recording devices, and photographic format.
Analyzes and extracts images and/or video of evidentiary value.
Clarifies audio, video, and/or images in accordance with best known practices and forensic standards.
Produces automated analysis as requested, according to established ROCIC procedures.
Documents forensic examination findings to include procedures used, observations, analysis and results of examination.
Records accurate logs of analysis work should court testimony be required.
Marks and stores evidence in accordance with established evidence handling requirements.
Testifies as a witness in court proceedings as requested with ability to clearly speak and articulate techniques used.
Plans, organizes, coordinates and prioritizes multiple tasks and projects.
Travels as necessary.
Assists in accomplishing the goals and objectives of ROCIC and any other duties or projects assigned by the Criminal Intelligence Analytical Manager.
Candidate will be subject to:

ROCIC is an organization composed of criminal justice agencies in the southern United States working together to combat multi-jurisdictional criminal activities.
Position is located in Nashville, TN - ROCIC will not pay relocation expenses.
