Job Description: At Regions, the Accounting Manager leads a team of Accountants who establish and maintain accounting policies and controls and fiscal controls. This position also prepares financial reports and safeguards assets. Primary Responsibilities Supervises staff accountants and accounting operational functions to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner Provides financial and operational support to business groups Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects Assists in organizing and preparing for audits and quarterly reporting, as well as responding to requests per risk and potentially regulatory authorities Maintains accounting and financial records and reports including, general ledger, financial statements, regulatory and management reports Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a directly related field Seven (7) years of accounting/finance experience managing large groups/functions or directly related experience Preferences Management experience Skills and Competencies Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access Excellent communication skills Strong analytical skills Position Type Full time Benefits Information Regions offers a benefits package that is flexible, comprehensive and recognizes that "one size does not fit all" for associates.
