What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mammography Tech Specialist Virtual Hiring Event position at Regions Hospital?
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of an AMA accredited program of Radiology Technology or the Canadian equivalent.
- Completion of a Mammography Training program.
- One year of Radiologic Technologist experience.
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology and must obtain Mammography board within first year.
- BLS certification from AHA sponsored program on or before first day of employment.
We are seeking a dedicated Mammography Technologist trained in 3D Mammography. This position will work with a small, dedicated team and have opportunities for advanced training in Breast Imaging.
The Breast Center at Regions performs diagnostic work, breast ultrasound, and procedures which include biopsies and seed localizations. Technologist get a variety of experience and work closely under the direction of our Radiologist. Under the direction of the Radiology - Breast Health Manager, this position performs and assists with screening and diagnostic procedures and biopsies of the breast to help in the prevention and diagnosis of breast cancer or other breast health problems. These procedures may involve sophisticated and/or complicated exams requiring independent judgement and initiative. Works with patients of all cultures and physical conditions.
