Regions Hospital is one of only three hospitals in Minnesota that is verified as a Level I Trauma Center for both adults and for children with the expertise and technology to treat the most serious injuries 24/7. Our Emergency Department is designed to treat patients in acuity-based care pods. You will find yourself in a fast-paced environment with over 90,000 ED visits per year.
Position Summary
To assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Regions Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the provider’s medical orders; to assist providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient, his/her family, health professionals and important others; to perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of Minnesota
- One Year of recent ED or ICU RN experience is required.
- Completion of an accredited Associates, Bachelors, or Masters degree program in Nursing.
Certifications:
- BLS for healthcare providers and ACLS are required.
- NIHSS is required by time of hire.
