Job Description: At Regions, the Information Technology Software Engineer oversees application development, modification, and maintenance of applications. This position monitors system applications, ensures systems run smoothly, and creates reports and other documentation outlining findings/solutions. Primary Responsibilities Designs, Develop and deploys new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operation systems Develops and implements strategies to improve systems Measures effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems Monitors and tests system performance Assists with the development and installation of new software Installs and configures systems and other software Tests installed software for malfunction detection Identifies and resolves business systems issues Performs work with some independence of thought, but refers more complex problems to senior associates or supervisor/manager This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field Three (3) years of experience Skills and Competencies Ability to collaborate with programmers, developers, and other technology professionals to achieve a common objective Ability to conduct system analysis to detect issues with performance Ability to develop and implement technology solutions to resolve technical challenges Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously Intermediate executional capabilities Knowledge of software testing techniques, code optimization and software debugging Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills Understanding of software structures, hardware, computing systems and how to integrate them Looking for an Engineer who likes to build/integrate applications, high volumes services that handle volumes of data to detect and manage financial crimes using cutting edge technologies. Actively participate in the development and review of business and system requirements to obtain a thorough understanding of business needs in order to deliver accurate solutions. Participate in requirement analysis, code reviews, QA, daily scrum meetings. Develop high-quality, easily readable, and maintainable software code in accordance with established company standards and development guidelines. Develop ETL processes for data extracts/analysis and ad hoc reporting. Perform adequate unit testing. At a minimum unit testing should ensure all requirements have been addressed, all basic functionality works, and errors are handled properly. Participate in deployment activities by developing and using CI/CD pipeline Maintain systems by identifying and correcting software defects. Expeditiously troubleshoot application production issues. Work as part of an Agile development team to solve problems and develop projects in a fast-paced environment. Skillsets/Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field Five (3) plus years of experience in .Net or Java Strong knowledge in .Net Frameworks with proficiency in C# or Spring/Sprint boot frameworks with proficiency in Java Proficient in Oracle PL/SQL or SQL Server or Hadoop/Hive Proficient in Asp.Net MVC, HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript Experience with ReactJS or Angular or jQuery Experience with developing cloud native micro services Strong Understanding of Object-oriented programming and Design principles Experience with DevOps tools (GitHub, Bamboo, UCD, etc.) Good to have Python, PySpark, Hadoop, Hive MuleSoft, OpenShift Monitoring tools such as Orion and Splunk RPA (UI Path) Experience Position Type Full time Compensation Details Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job. The target information listed below is based on the national range and level of the position. Job Range Target: Minimum: $56,647.50 USD Median: $96,990.00 USD Incentive Pay Plans: This job is not incentive eligible.
