Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Manages daily activities in all of the organization's accounting functions, which may include cost and general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Job Duties
  • Maintains the organization's general ledger, tracking assets, liabilities, expenses, and revenues. 
  • Oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close and financial reporting. 
  • Assists internal and/or external auditors with periodic auditing or the organization's financial records and statements. Reconciles and adjusts bank accounts to manage cash flow.
  • Performs complex tasks typically following established processes. 
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions. 
  • Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures but may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change. 
Experience and Education
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles. 
  • 7 yrs. Accounting experience
  • 3 yrs. working in Property Management/RE Development required
  • Knowledge of loans for multi-family properties a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or higher required 
  • Bilingual (English, Spanish) a plus
