CASAC/ CASAC-T

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced CASAC (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor) to join our team at Rego Park Counseling. As a reputable organization providing comprehensive addiction treatment services, we are committed to helping individuals on their journey to recovery. Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' substance abuse and co-occurring mental health needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Provide individual counseling and facilitate group therapy sessions focused on addiction recovery.
• Implement and monitor client progress in accordance with treatment goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure integrated and coordinated care.
• Assist clients in accessing community resources and support services.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and interventions.
• Adhere to the ethical guidelines and regulations set forth by relevant governing bodies.

Requirements:

• CASAC (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor) certification.
• CASAC-T
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling). (Nice to have)
• Demonstrated experience in providing substance abuse counseling services.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in addiction treatment.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and documentation standards.
• Excellent counseling and assessment skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software.
