Job Posting for Engineer I / II / III at Regulated Companies
Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day to day work routine for self and others. Performs studies to support the planning and operation of present and future electric power resources, load forecasts and transmission requirements. Performs transmission studies and related activities. Provides support to the System Control Center staff, Regulatory Affairs and other departments regarding transmission, generation and electric market operation issues and analysis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Engineer I: ($69,380 - $86,730)
A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
Engineer II: ($79,760- $99,700)
A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering; and
Two years related work experience.
Engineer III: ($91,710 - $114,640)
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; and
Five years of progressively responsible experience and understanding in the energy industry including utility electric and gas operations, maintenance, design, and project management.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
Required to maintain a valid driver’s license.
Moderate travel requirements (10% - 15%).
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES
Monitors and participates in transmission and planning activities in MISO, MRO, and other regional entities.
Performs smaller transmission power flow and stability studies.
Assists in the planning and operation of present and/or future electric power resources, load forecasts, and transmission and distribution requirements using computer models and other analytical methods.
Documents study results in reports and present the results to appropriate entities.
Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
