The Role
RAPS is seeking a Manager of Chapter & Volunteer Relations who will oversee the work of RAPS' volunteer-led component network, providing support for activities that fuel member and community engagement. This role will manage the volunteer lifecycle including tracking and reporting performance metrics, connecting members with meaningful engagement opportunities, and managing day-to-day chapter and volunteer communication while adhering to RAPS business models.
What you will do with us:
Provide operational support to volunteer chapter leaders delivering professional development and networking activities of all formats while:
Ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders
Managing volunteers
Creating promotional language for communication
Facilitate logistics for 50 chapter-led activities throughout the year
Work cross-departmentally furthering volunteer development and orientation programs to expand volunteer capacity
Ensure compliance to support policies and procedures, implementing changes when necessary
Plan and execute appropriate volunteer training programs including the Volunteer Leadership Summit
Satisfy chapter sponsorship deliverables, also providing strategic guidance on recruitment and future offerings
Collaborate cross-departmentally to introduce innovative engagement activities that build community and reinforce member value
Manage annual chapter application and assessment process
Produce annual chapter assessment matrix to guide strategic planning
Serve as primary contact for volunteer opportunities internally and externally
Plan and execute annual Chapter Management operating budget
Coordinate and lead quarterly touchpoints with chapter leaders
Manage HL Volunteer Portal to track performance against strategic objectives
