Activity Aide, Part Time Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing

Areas of Responsibility:

• Conducts activity programs and functions in accordance with facility calendar, resident needs, and overall activities goals;
• Leads, creates, plans and executes activities appropriately to meet the goals, needs, and desires of the patients and residents;
• Works with residents, patients and their families to encourage engagement and foster a positive atmosphere;
• Must be able to work Weekends and Holidays, and occasional evenings,
• Adheres to Safety and Infection Control Policies and Procedures;
• Communicate with residents, Families, and staff in an understandable, honest, and caring manner;
• Must be able to safely perform all essential job functions;
• Must maintain Resident and all work areas in an organized, clean and safe manner;
• Perform other tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High School Diploma, or the equivalent;
• Demonstrated Experience leading group activities, including knowledge and experience with the Arts, Crafts, or other forms of creative engagement;
• Demonstrated compassion for Seniors and their families, including experience working in a long term care setting preferred, with the Senior population or comparable experience;
• Desire and ability to work productively as part of a team to provide Excellent Customer and life enrichment services.
