We’re looking for a full-time Accounting Specialist to join us in Omaha, Nebraska. We’d love to hear from people who connect with our values and want to bring something more to our team.
This position will perform various accounting functions within our travel division, including processing of payables, journal entry preparation and posting, processing expense reports, billing and collection, back up to payroll. We have an experienced team that truly enjoy working together; a fun and motivating environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the process to review traveler timecards, calculate stipends and audit payroll prior to submission
- Process invoices and check requests.
- Reconcile and post journal entries related to payables and expense reports
- Generate weekly invoices using internal software and 3rd party client sites
- Manage accounts receivable aging, review discrepancies in invoicing and follow up on collections
- Create financial reports to assist in analyzing the travel division
Qualifications and Requirements

- Associate’s degree in Accounting or higher
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to learn and utilize specialized software
- Keen sense of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to follow directions and procedures
- Work in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment
- Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude and high ethical standards while maintaining confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple priorities as needed to maintain maximum desk efficiency
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP a plus.
