What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analytics Lead - REI Experiences position at REI?
This position contributes to REI’s success by providing analytics process and thought leadership for the REI Experience division, ensuring data is accurate and leveraged to support rapid growth at scale for our experience business. Doing this successfully will mean building strong relationships with partners across the Experiences division and the enterprise. This role has three accountabilities:
- Developing and managing the Experiences analytics roadmap, establishing a data strategy with business owners, making data accessible for the users, and managing execution with other analysts through an agile development process.
- Using data to identify opportunities in the business to support customer and growth objectives.
- Analyzing business KPI’s, metrics and digital and marketing performance, and making recommendations based on data to drive our growth agenda.
This role is the primary lead to creating, operationalizing and optimizing an understanding of business intelligence to inform decision making. This leader is a key partner of IT, Digital, Finance, Operations and Strategy and plays a supporting role in major strategic initiatives in service of the Experience line of business. - Accountable for Experience intelligence including data management and reporting.
- Build the analytics roadmap in alignment with business strategy.
- Partners closely with Business Intelligence to ensure Experience’s data strategies are integrated with the Co-op’s enterprise solutions.
- Lead efforts with business and technology users to instrument data strategy from data acquisition to insights.
- Identify areas to improve our data capture and partner with operational teams to refine workflows or technologies to address.
- Analyze business and customer metrics and related data to identify opportunities to drive strategic growth.
- Stays up to date on developments and innovations in the industry, technology and user experience to drive new customer insights.
- Work closely with Marketing and Digital analytics in leveraging results to build future enhancements.
- Recognize and leverage business opportunities based on industry trends, competitive research and customer demand, available inventory to ensure competitive advantage in the online market
- Lead analytics team to analyze results of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports in an effort to anticipate future business changes and challenges and proactively develop and implement new online features and site updates accordingly.
- Assemble and interpret data, create executive summaries and deliver business insights.
- Use problem-solving skills to identify, analyze and propose solutions to technical and business issues.
- Act with a high degree of autonomy while working in a fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environment.
- Serve as the internal and external evangelist for Experiences business intelligence and analytics.
- Integrates improvement initiatives to create a culture of continuous improvement ensuring achievement of departmental goals.
