As Reid's General Ledger Accountant, professional time and emphasis will be on:
The General Ledger Accountant will relate frequently, both formally and informally, with all levels of leadership including department managers, directors and administration. Occasional interaction may be required with members of the governing board and medical staff. Collegial and productive relationships must be established and maintained with all members of the Reid Hospital staff and it’s customers.

To lead our communities to well-being, one person at a time. It is not just what we do – it is who we are.
1. Assists in the month end closing process and publishing of monthly operating results and associated reports by the 10th business day of each month.
2. Works cooperatively with other Reid Health departments to accurately record monthly transactions to the general ledger.
3. Monitors cash flow and daily banking transactions for all operating accounts.
4. Completes assigned balance sheet account reconciliations monthly according to our reconciliation policy.
5. Assists with the preparation and reporting of the annual operating budget.
6. Completes reports and documentation request from external auditors on the annual audit of our financial statements.
7. Provides assistance to department managers in the financial management of their cost centers.
8. Assists with coverage of job responsibilities whenever co-workers are on PTO or a vacancy exists within the Accounting department.
9. Assists with all other Accounting and Financial needs as directed by the CEO, CFO, Director of Finance, or Manager of Accounting & Budgeting.
Education Required: BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Education Preferred: BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience Required:
Experience Preferred: Experience working in healthcare or not for profit entity

Other: Hybrid or Remote work schedule is available at manager’s discretion upon successful completion of introductory period.
