Overview:
Under the direction of the Physician(s) and Practice Director manages the daily operations of the physician office, manages the office staff and creates an environment that fosters patient and employee satisfaction, ensures maximum financial performance and aids the providers and staff in achieving quality outcomes for the patients.
Responsibilities:
- Management of the daily operations of the office by monitoring the schedule, the patient flow, and addressing any problems that arise during the day. Independently makes decisions that affect the daily operations of the practice.
- Facilitate the employee Performance Appraisal process, necessary counseling/coaching sessions, and all follow-up support, documentation, etc.
- Utilize RPA support network to obtain information necessary to effectively manage office.
- Maximize collections and reimbursements by ensuring that claims are filed correctly and in a timely fashion. Monitor insurance reimbursements. Negotiate payment arrangements when appropriate.
- Insure effective and timely communication of office status to physicians, staff, and Practice Director.
- Work with Physician and Practice Director to establish professional standards of practice.
- Coordinate automated system activities, run month end reports and insure accuracy.
- Insure office compliance with all RPA operational processes (both clinical and financial) and HIPAA/OSHA/CLIA and NRCP standards. Coordinate required training of office staff in these areas. Assure staff performance appraisals are completed within the designated due date.
- Performs all duties respectful of confidentiality and safety of all patients, employees, and Physicians. Adheres to established quality principles and standards established by Community Physicians of Indiana.
- Two years previous experience managing a physician office of at least two or more providers preferred.
- College Degree in related field preferred or related experience in physician practice environment.
