Job Summary of Staff Accountant:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for organizing and maintaining the financial records of the company. Must be a detail oriented financial professional able to provide support to a multi-unit dynamic organization.
Essential Duties of Staff Accountant:
- Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Conduct month-end and year-end closures.
- Assist with timely preparation of monthly accounting reporting for Controller and CFO.
- Prepare documents for annual financial review/audit (when applicable).
- Maintain accounting for multi-clinic health care organization.
- Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
- Identify opportunities for company's financial benefit.
- Report to Controller and work to improve financial processes.
- Always conduct business with the highest standards of personal, professional, and ethical conduct.
- Performs other duties as required.
Job Requirements of Staff Accountant:
- Similar experience as a Staff Accountant or relevant role in accounting.
- Knowledge of business office procedures.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and QuickBooks.
- Well-organized with the ability to prioritize.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
Education Requirements of Staff Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- At least 2 years of related accounting experience required.
Working Conditions:
This job is a Florida based telecommute (remote) position. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, fax machines, scanners, etc.

- This is primarily a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stoop, as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to twenty pounds.
- Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
- Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.
