COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Hourly compensation depends on experience percentage of the nightly tip pool

After a 90-day probation period, the employee is entitled to the following:

Job Description
Works closely with the Food and Beverage Director to: help guests navigate through the 1,300-bottle wine list, train and educate staff, and create wine pairings for the restaurant’s seasonal menu. Sommeliers are also encouraged to teach twice monthly wine classes about topics that interest them. The restaurant’s inventory is done on a monthly basis and the sommelier team is expected to contribute to reaching target goals through creative and profitable means.
Availability Required:
Afternoons and Evenings, Thursday-Sunday
Monthly Inventory and Industry Tastings (variable days w/ ample notice)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receive and organize wine deliveries.
- Assist with end of month inventory.
- Assist F&B Director with organizing and maintaining wine list.
- Work on the floor during service assisting guests with wine selections and assist with food service as needed.
- Continually strive to develop yourself in all areas of managerial and professional development – to include regular training sessions on table service and wine service.
- Plan, organize, and execute twice monthly wine classes.
- Work to uphold staff education and knowledge of the by the glass selections.
- Maintain cellar management, organization, and cleanliness.
- Ensure high standards of overall service, especially wine service, are upheld.
