Position: Licensed Insurance Agent

Location: Watertown, Estelline, Hayti (will service this territory and can work at any of these locations)

POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Insurance Agent to join our team and take over an established portfolio. This presents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to inherit a solid client base while also having significant room for growth.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to generate new business and expand our client base in the North Market.
• Conduct thorough insurance needs assessments for individuals and businesses, recommending appropriate coverage options.
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and processing policy changes.
• Collaborate with team members and insurance companies to ensure accurate policy issuance and timely claims processing.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and product offerings to effectively advise clients and maintain compliance.
• Represent Big Sioux Insurance at networking events, community gatherings, and industry conferences to enhance brand visibility and foster business partnerships.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics established by the agency.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid South Dakota insurance agent license.
• Previous experience in insurance sales or related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with insurance industry software is a plus.
