Behavioral Health Certification Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Certification Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mental health and substance use counseling and a commitment to improve the well-being of clients through effective certification and oversight of behavioral health services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough reviews of behavioral health programs to ensure compliance with state and national accreditation standards.
• Provide expert guidance to healthcare providers on best practices in mental health and substance use counseling, treatment, prevention, and other associated programs.
• Develop and implement training programs for mental health professionals seeking certification.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in legislation and accreditation requirements affecting behavioral health services.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the quality of behavioral health care delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, social work, or a closely related academic field.
• Two years of post-master’s degree professional mental health counseling experience.
• OR an equivalent combination of education and clinical experience at or above a master’s degree level as described above.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a regulatory or accreditation environment.

Familiarity with program evaluation techniques and quality improvement processes

Pay: $30.32 - $36.10 per hour
