RT&T, a joint venture of InDyne, Inc. and Amentum Services, Inc. is the prime contractor to support the Atlantic Range Technical Support Services (ARTSS) for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) headquartered in Patuxent River, MD, and with locations in Maryland, Virginia, and California.

ARTSS supports Atlantic Test Ranges (ATR) and Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations (ATMO) in research and development, engineering, maintenance, operation, support of facilities, systems, and equipment in order to meet the engineering development and operational testing and fleet training missions for some of the world’s premier systems. Our work with the U.S. Navy keeps the warfighter safe by testing systems before they are used in combat, and we are hiring personnel to support this important mission.

Background Information:

This full-time position will provide networking support as part of the Range Instrumentation Division (RID) Range System Branch of the Atlantic Test Range (ATR) in Patuxent River, Maryland.  Members of this dynamic team work as a team to design and develop complex hardware and software network architectures to support real-time Research, Development, Test, & Engineering (RDT&E) test and fleet training events conducted by ATR in support of customers’ requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots and repairs computer hardware and software-related issues
  • Responds and resolves service outages, technical queries, and other system-related issues
  • Manages user accounts/groups and group policies via Microsoft Active Directory
  • Assists in gathering information and processing date related to Cybersecurity
  • Performs and evaluates vulnerability scans on production and test systems
  • Ensures Department of Defense (DoD) Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts and Bulleting (IAVA, IAVB) compliance by managing the installation of new software releases, system upgrades and installation of patches to resolve software-related issues with the Information Technology (IT) systems
  • Identifies areas of non-compliance by using Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs)
  • Performs and analyzes system vulnerabilities using Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans
  • Overtime, including some nights and weekends, may be required, if necessary

Required Education, Experience, Skills, & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • In lieu of a BS Degree, a High School diploma or equivalent GED and six (6) years’ work experience performing the stated or similar function, or an Associate’s Degree plus four (4) years’ work experience performing the stated or similar function is required
  • Must have a current Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 compliance (COMPTIA Security CE or ISC2 CISSP) or be able to become current within 60 days of employment
  • Experience or abilities with Citrix XenApp and Desktop, Provisioning Services, Dell Storage Manager, SAN/FiberChannel/iSCSI, or CommVault Backup Software are a plus
  • Must be a self-starter with an eagerness to learn and may, at times, need to research solutions independently
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to successfully pass Drug Screening

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret (TS) United States Department of Defense (DoD) Clearance with a Tier 5 Background Investigation and must maintain the clearance throughout employment.

Work Conditions:

  • Most work performed in enclosed buildings. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching
  • Applicant should be capable of lifting 50-100 lbs. assisted by other employees
  • Vision abilities needed to perform this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus
