- 2 years of experience in Geriatric Care, Primary Care, or Post Acute settings
- Valid Medical Doctor (MD) license in South Carolina (SC)
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Current or in-progress DPS and DEA certifications

Summary:
As a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or Medical Doctor in our organization, you will apply your expertise in geriatric primary care and post-acute care to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions. Your role will involve ensuring comprehensive patient care and identifying opportunities for service improvement and efficiency.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independently conduct patient history and physical exams, interpret data, and formulate treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
- Prescribe appropriate treatments, both pharmacological and non-pharmacological.
- Collaborate with and supervise Advance Practice Providers in patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and provide education to patients and families.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in geriatric primary care practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with medical policies, regulations, and quality control standards.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
Experience:
- Previous experience in geriatric primary care or post-acute care is preferred but not required.
- Experience or interest in value-based care models is advantageous.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) documentation and medical billing is desirable.
- A positive attitude, commitment to quality care, and teamwork mentality are essential.
License/Certification:
- Current unrestricted medical license in the state of employment.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Current or in-progress DPS and DEA certifications.
