Candidates must have the experience working in a CONSTRUCTION - DEMOLITION field. Candidates must have worked under an estimator / CEO and have held responsibilities of bid packet management, bid calculations using Excel, supported proposal writing, oversaw contracts and timelines.
REMAC specializes in demolition and environmental remediation projects, varying from the demolishing of buildings, roadways, bridges, to the demolition of underground and above ground structures, and disposal of demolition materials. We bid on new opportunities and are rapidly growing! Our projects are within the DMV area.
REMAC is seeking a very experienced, exceptionally organized, self-motivated contracts administrator/secretary. The contacts administrator will be working hand in hand with REMAC's estimator and the company executives.
The position is full time, reporting to our office in Potomac, MD 5 days a week.
Start time every day is 8 AM, until the work is completed.
REMAC offers a competitive $55,000.00/year salary benefits.
The qualifications, requirements, and experience you must meet to be considered for an interview:
1. Must be an excellent and strong communicator. Quick with phone calls and emails, highly organized, also possess a sense of urgency while working on the high-demanding projects.
2. Must be an expert with Excel. Efficiency to quickly work the Excel program is a must – it will be used daily to produce and share the calculation sheets with the estimator, to discuss the numbers, etc.
3. The candidate must possess the proper, precise, and professional English language both written as well as verbal.
4. The candidate must have worked as a contracts administrator and has held a high demanding secretarial/administrative position being a right hand to an estimator / senior projects manager in a construction/demolition field for a minimum of 3 years.
5. Must have experience in putting together bid packets inclusive of a working knowledge of the required significant paperwork to be completed regarding the MBE and WBE participation.
6. The candidate must have experience in supporting proposal writing.
7. Must be able to participate in the development and the keeping of the company’s raw costs and partake in cost and profit analysis when needed.
8. The candidate will actively assist the estimator and other executives in the company in purchasing goods, supplies. The professional under consideration must have experience of interfacing with subcontractors and the like.
9. Some knowledge of estimating and some knowledge of drawings software is required.
