What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP of Product position at ReminderMedia?

The VP of Product is responsible for creating the product strategy and leading the team to deliver a finished product. They are responsible for the life cycle of a product and manages product delivery along with identifying what the product’s defining features will be. VP of Product is responsible for working with several other members of the organization, including project managers, marketing, customer service, and sales teams.

  • Translate business strategy into product strategy and define the roadmap
  • Oversee and manage the production of a product from beginning to end, driving action throughout the organization to get products to market
  • Write high-level requirements and work with project managers to create project charters and design requirements
  • Use market research to get ideas for products that customers will want
  • Be the recognized expert in the business on the product, the market, relevant technology, and the competition
  • Write project charters and market requirements documents
  • Work with marketing to develop core positioning and messaging for the product
  • Set pricing with management
  • Work with marketing to plan how to market and promote the product to the public
  • Perform product demos to customers and develop relationships in key clients
  • Run trials and beta tests with clients, deliver go to market launch plans
  • Promote the product to sales and client success teams, perform training and communicate key selling features
  • Manage all aspects of in-life products, including customer feedback, requirements, and issues
  • Monitor and collect feedback from internal stakeholders within sales, client success, marketing, and IT
  • Monitor, report, and improve product performance
  • Represent the voice of the customer in senior level management meetings
  • Work with internal stakeholders and third parties to assess and establish partnerships
  • Deliver regular reports on product usage, new users, active users, and cancels
  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: In addition to the necessary skills and experience to perform the responsibilities outlined above, there are a number of traits that a successful candidate will possess.

  • Bachelor’s degree

Experience:

  • 5 years of product management, product development, or marketing
  • Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to independently derive insights from data
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong research skills to understand evolving trends within the marketplace

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 per year
