POSITION SUMMARY:
The Credit and Collections Specialist is a professional with a 3 to 5 years of experience of collections. This individual will interface directly with clients and be responsible for maintaining our aging report. The Credit and Collections Specialist shall be self-motivated, with excellent communication skills and capable of working in a team environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Interface with clients ensuring all documentation and support has been provided for the client to issue payments.
- Manage the aging report and statement of accounts and follow up on past due invoices.
- Coordinate with Project Analyst team to meet important client deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task working with different areas of the business to accomplish goals.
- "Proactive" and “Motivated” to firmly pursue clients to issue payment.
- Interest in visiting clients to learn about their billing processes and payment schedules.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- 3-5 years of collections experience with knowledge of professional services collections
- Prior interaction with Municipal client’s preferred
- Experience with Deltek ERP system preferred
- Ability to multi-task
- Organized and detailed
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Self-starter that is motivated by metrics
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite
- Ability to work independent or as part of a team
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent
Prior experience is required
