About The Role

About The Role
The Senior Accounting Manager, Revenue will report to the Director of Accounting and is responsible for overseeing the order-to-cash (OTC) accounting operations and driving the automation of related processes. This role requires a deep understanding of revenue recognition principles, balance sheet reconciliation principles, strong systematic and analytical skills, and the ability to manage and optimize OTC accounting processes. The candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, process improvement minded, and capable of leading a global team to achieve high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
You Will
- Oversee and manage the OTC accounting function, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including compliance with internal controls and audit deliverables
- Implement and optimize OTC accounting policies and procedures, including but not limited to revenue recognition, fx, cash, accounts receivable, customer funds liability, loss reserves, and deferred revenue
- Partner with Technical Accounting and FP&A to review and analyze revenue contracts and results to ensure proper revenue recognition
- Lead the implementation of small-scale automated accounting solutions, as well as writing requirements for and testing of a large custom-built financial ledger system
- Manage a global team across multiple time zones to ensure that the team is engaged and aligned with leadership's vision and goals
- Bachelor's degree, CPA required, and 7 years of experience in Accounting, with minimum 3 years in Public Accounting required
- Proven experience in automating accounting processes and implementing accounting systems
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, revenue recognition and foreign currency standards
- Experience managing teams across multiple time zones with minimum overlap
- Strong track record of not only developing and driving high-level strategic initiatives, but also sweating the details alongside the team to get the job done
- Experience launching new accounting initiatives from ideation through scale
