With an in-house technology platform built from scratch, we have rapidly generated multiple drug discovery programs that are advancing towards the clinic.
We seek a highly motivated, B.S. level compound manager with expertise in compound management and automation to join our team located in Arsenal Yards, Watertown MA. As a team member of the Biomolecular Sciences and Lead Discovery group, this individual will be responsible for the development, execution, and documentation of various compound management workflows supporting the drug discovery programs at Remix. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who can work independently, and as part of a team, in a dynamic fast-paced innovative biotech environment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Enable and support compound plating workflows for Remix’s drug discovery efforts
- Manage internal compound storage systems and curate inventory through integrated software platform
- Design and conduct compound treatment protocols for cell- and biochemical-based high throughput screens and routine assays
- Enable new technologies and instrumentation as needed
- Maintain detailed records and data in LIMS system
- Prioritize activities, manage internal resources while balancing multiple priorities under time and resource constraints
- Build and maintain productive relationships with colleagues across the broader Remix team
Qualifications
- B.S. in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or Engineering or a related discipline with 4-6 years’ of experience
- Understand sample management workflows including experience with request portals and inventory tracking is desired
- Experience with various liquid handlers ideally including Hamilton and Echo instruments is desired
- Experience with automated compound storage and retrieval systems is desired
- Familiarity with LC-MS workflows would be a plus
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities while remaining flexible with changing needs and meeting deadlines
- Ability to work effectively to solve process development problems and implement improved procedures
- Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team
- Desire to learn and be part of fast-paced team with multiple concurrent priorities
- Demonstrate critical thinking, attention to detail, and careful record-keeping
