What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Teacher position at Remnant LLC?
Seeking a certified and passionate Private Teacher to educate one student. As a Private Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for in-home one on one instruction covering multiple subjects. Student requires a fast track or review of 2nd and 3rd grade concepts, followed by a full but efficient learning plan for 4th and 5th grade. This is a long term full fledged teaching position performed *as an independent contractor*. Guaranteed competitive pay with hourly or salary pay possible. This is not a tutoring position. Applicant must be prepared to provide teaching credentials, experience, and samples of lesson plans.
Your duties will include:
- Developing and implementing lesson plans that align with curricula of mutual teacher and parent preference with some consideration given to Oklahoma State Education Standards.
- Providing instruction in core subjects, including math, science, language arts, and history. Preference given to teachers who have foreign or ASL language skills.
- Utilizing effective teaching strategies to engage and promote active learning and form lasting mastery.
- Assessing student progress and providing feedback on their academic performance.
- Pacing lessons with the student as needed.
- Providing individualized support to the student who may require additional assistance.
- Record keeping of student’s academic progress is required.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of core subjects, and can fast track or review material as well as cover topics in full and engaging detail.
- Experience in teaching or tutoring that provides individualized support to students.
- Ability to develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles or interests.
- Proficiency in curriculum development and lesson planning.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with the student and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working one on one with children.
Teaching times would be Monday through Thursday, 12:00pm - 4:00pm, occasionally extending to 5:00pm, year round teaching/instruction with negotiable time off for vacations and holidays.
