The Financial & Treasury Analyst is responsible for managing daily treasury operations, bank relationships and administrating the purchase card program.  This role is also responsible for assisting in the analysis and preparation of corporate reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Responsible for the daily, weekly, monthly and annual cash position, forecast, reconciliations and payments.
  • Responsible for the management of the purchase card program, including partnering with the financial services provider, ongoing maintenance, onboarding new team members, and assisting with audit and other inquires.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of various banking and Treasury platforms, including userbase maintenance, new user access, and any platform upgrades.
  • Maintains accounts across bank providers, including drafting letters, completing forms, and interacting with bank representatives.
  • Assists in treasury modeling and analysis to reduce bank fees and consolidate banking functions.
  • Assists with the annual budgeting process for corporate overhead.
  • Supports company-wide financial & treasury initiatives through data gathering, financial analysis, and calls with property finance leadership.
  • Performs special projects, prepares ad-hoc reporting, and provides additional support as requested.
  • Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within candidate’s area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Drives process improvements and efficiencies and implements new banking solutions, products, and services.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support evolving business needs and growth initiatives.

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Accounting, Finance or related field from accredited four-year college or university; or 2-3 years' related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams). Excel skills include advanced formulas (VLOOKUP’s, HLOOKUP’s, MATCH, INDEX, IF, SUMIF), pivot tables, shortcut keys, and macros as well as the ability to manage, sort, and analyze data sets.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in prioritization or schedules of items in the work queue as necessary when communicated/directed.
  • Must have excellent organization skills and be detailed oriented.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to problem-solve and help others.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines, including projects that require a quick time frame.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
