YOUR OCEAN IMPORT/EXPORT DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
Manage end to end supply chains for major accounts
Work to minimize detention and demurrage by utilizing vessel reconciliation
Review invoices for correct contract rates
Resolve EDI issues
Create reports for customers on special projects
Update internal reports regarding container location and cost accruals
Ensure compliance with customs regulations
Track and trace ocean shipments and update clients on any delays or changes
Work with other team members to ensure smooth delivery of shipments
Complete export booking requests including all relevant paperwork
HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED FOR THE OCEAN IMPORT/EXPORT SPECIALIST POSITION:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
2 or more years of experience in ocean import or ocean export is required
Proficient in MS Excel; must be able to use V-lookups, Pivot Tables, Macros and Formulas efficiently
Excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and to work independently
