About the Role:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Corporate Accountant to join our expanding team. This position has opened up due to our company’s significant growth. You'll be an integral part of our accounting department, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, supporting financial planning, and driving process improvements. Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and departmental reports.
- Record daily corporate cash activities, perform bank reconciliations, and resolve reconciling items promptly.
- Manage the month-end close process including calendar management, system processing, validation, and reconciliation.
- Identify accounting issues and collaborate with the accounting team to maintain consistent processes and controls.
- Assist with year-end audit requests and conduct internal audits, providing recommendations for process enhancements.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with the close schedule.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with public accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
- Minimum of 2 years of cost accounting experience preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in internal audits, general accounting, and GAAP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills.
