· Ensure that bar is clean and properly set up, i.e. supplies needed for upcoming shifts are available. Report any shortages to manager.
· Greets guests pleasantly as they approach the bar; promotes house drinks and utilizes up -selling skills whenever possible to maximize revenues.
· Prepares beverages requested by guests or servers according to standard operating procedures establishing proper portions and ingredients to control costs and provide consistent product to the guest.
· Have complete and applied knowledge of alcoholic awareness program
· Have complete knowledge and understanding of all state and local ABC regulations.
· Monitors guest behavior and guest alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guest should cease; notifies management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of customers; checks identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionable.
· Inventories return of banquet bar beverages.
· Insure that bar is completely clean and secure at end of shift.
· Promote marketing events to all guests.
· Prepares end of shift reports and balances cash and credit cards, depositing cash per hotel procedures.
