Caregiver

In-home caregiver needed. Looking for someone trustworthy, dependable, and experienced. Driver's License required. CPR preferred.

The Homemaker will be responsible for following and providing a daily care to our clients.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Homemaker may also be referred to as “Caregiver” and/or “Personal Attendant”.
• Be pleasant and supportive to the client.
• Follow Renaissance Care Employee Handbook.
• Follow Renaissance Care Policies and Procedures.
• Complete all documentation timely and accurately.
• Assisting client with personal care, which may include but not limiting to incontinence care, toileting, bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assisting client with other duties, including but not limiting to meal preparation, washing, drying, shopping, folding and putting away laundry, light housekeeping, and safety reminders.
• Ensuring the client’s home is organized according to their needs and that safety measures are in place. You may also be expected to assist with some light housework.
• Providing emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks.
• Providing mobility assistance may be required, for example helping the client in and out of bed, a chair, or a wheelchair.
• Transporting or escorting the client as indicated in the Personal Attendant Log (PAL) for reach client.
• Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior, and needs.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.

• And other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must possess current valid driver’s license.
• Must possess current valid motor vehicle insurance.
• Must be approved on West Virginia Clearance for Access Registry and Employment Screening (WV CARES).
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel
• Must be follow instruction of supervisor
• Must be polite and considerate of clients, visitors, and co-workers at all times
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift 26 lbs, and push or carry 50 lbs
• Must be able to represent the agency in a positive and professional manner
• Must attend and complete all required in-services and staff meetings.

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Night shift
