Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Superintendent to join our construction team. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent to ensure the successful completion of construction projects. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth and development.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Superintendent in overseeing all aspects of construction projects
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to project schedules
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and safety compliance
- Collaborate with project team members to resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise
- Assist in managing project budgets and tracking expenses
- Utilize construction management software, such as ProCore and HeavyBid, to document project information and communicate with team members
- Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and blueprints
- Assist in preparing construction estimates and proposals
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and RFIs
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction management or related field
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices
- Proficiency in using construction management software (e.g., ProCore)
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and blueprints
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to supervise and manage a team effectively
- Knowledge of contract administration and procurement processes
- OSHA 30 Hour certified
- Proficient with web-based submittal collaboration system(s)
- Knowledgeable and experienced with the Uniform Building Code
